With uncapped, it's more of an option for us now.
But online buying is very cheap compared to buying from game shops these days. The only problem comes in is that when you get tired of the game [or it's really old], you can't really give it away to someone who would want it.
Wait... what?
I use Freezone, its affordable and the actual game is cheaper. I can imagine this is going to put a dent in the PC games retail industry. Steam is just so much easier and cheaper. But as Keldarza said, one cant give them away or sell them.
I cant understand why they don't do that. Maybe there are security complications. But yeah, that would make alot of sense.
Digital is very cool, for many reasons, but owning a pretty box with the original disc is also very cool.
Or even a method to trade games in (ie. remove from steam) for gift-able discount vouchers would be cool.
But right now, other than valve games, it would be nice to be able to give duplicate copies of the game to someone else (for example, you buy a game, then a combo pack special gives you that game again - being able to gift the extra copy would be nice)
Wait... what?
i say digital all the way unless you want something to caress then rather get the box![]()

I've been getting everything online for about 2 years now (512k uncapped, now 4mb uncapped). On 4mb, its fast, convenient and you'll never run into shipping/stock problems.
I still buy things brick and mortar, but that's pretty much reserved for collectors editions.
