FPS games definitely play better wth kb/mouse, but third person shooters are superior with a controller IMO. Also, fighting and racing games are way better with a controller.
In UT3 it wouldn't of been a very accurate test. the controls are just way different and too many variables is missing by default compared to the console version(the aim assists like target adhesion etc)
You can't even dodge properly with the gamepad by default
Here's the mutator I wrote for UT3. It replaces the pc's controls with that of the console.

It kinda "nerfs" the mouse a little too since the game is basically now calibrated for the gamepad so you'll loose a bit of precision with the mouse.
Also double tap dodge doesn't work on the keyboard anymore, you would have to type the following in the console.
setbind leftshift smartjump
and dodge with shift.
This could actually prove to be a little more challenging Mouse vs Gamepad battle.
can't we all just enjoy our platforms and games for the sake of gaming ?![]()

I have to agree with Necuno here.
Who really cares who wins such contests anyway?
Gaming is supposed to be about fun, isn't it?

It's all about personal preferenceI much prefer the majority of my games using my Xbox360 controller even the PC games. I just hook up my Controller and don't look back.
I dare you to try Need For Speed SHIFT with a Keyboard![]()
I don`t care much for the wars. All I wish is that if they release a game that
it would be on all three platforms.
PC & XBOX and Playstation.
I prefer the PC and have missed things like fable2, gears of war 2 etc.
and I think it`s rather silly.
Wouldn't that be extraordinary. Give the human race another 60 odd years, by which time the term 'platform' will no longer be part of our lexicon. We will then enjoy a hybrid of games and reality and hopefully there will no longer be any need for us to argue about which neuron, brain structure or impulse is best used for which genre. However, we might then feel the need to look down upon those whose parents decided against having the brains of their offspring genetically enhanced. So, alas, chances are slim that we might one day just enjoy our 'platforms' for the sake of gaming.
