Looks like a good site, bookmarked.
I was curious to see what was happening over at teamliquid.net with regard to custom maps and stumbled on this weirdness: StarCraft 2 Third Person Shooter map. TPS is not exactly my thing, but I'm still quite impressed. This particular one hasn't been released yet but there are two others that have.
I still need to play some more of the blizz maps. My body is not ready for custom just yet, but that time will come.
For those lazy people that dont wanna click links :P

Impressive how flexible the map editor is and to see people putting out "maps" so quickly. Hmmm, tempted to start playing with it, but must play more multiplayer!
Unfortunately 90% of all SC2 maps are simply unplayable online.
Take the above video as example, here's the author's comments.
So your left with a bunch of unplayable tech demos.
My expectations for the final release of StarCraft 2 was high. I acturally thought that the slight lag that maps were affected by in the beta would be greatly reduced in the final product, but sadly it just got much worse. And with that i kinda canned my in-progress AC130K maps since the only way to play is via Battle.net and that is just not good enough for maps that require per milli sec response.
actually it's quite playable if you play it alone, but that would make the map a very rare thing to find.
I played some sidescroller maps and there pretty good, I've yet to hear about these gems though...
The singularity is about to explode! Weapons are at maximum.
