Participation in local leagues and Provincial Championships.

Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA) is an affiliate of the South African Confederation of Sport and Olympic Committee.
The MSSA is responsible for the good governance and promotion of Board games (such as Backgammon, Diplomacy, Checkers, Draughts, Morabaraba, etc), eSports (whether they are played on ‘cell phones, Sony® PSP’s, personal computers or similar), and Historical figure games (also known as wargames).
So clans can apply? Hi, our clan requires R250k for each of the members to upgrade their equipment and thus be able to compete better and maybe partake in international comps! Hahahaha! I can see it happen.
Personally I would think there are more worthy causes of the lotto funds.
Readers should note that since eSports are now considered to be an accredited sport, that eSports are just as worthy to be recipients of national lottery funding as much as swimming, soccer, rugby, chess, etc.
Also, any clan that is properly constituted as a club (as a club only requires three members), and is affiliated to Mind Sports South Africa may apply for such funding.
