WoW on Xbox 360 - would you play it?

I highly, highly, HIGHLY doubt it. If they bundle a keyboard and mouse with the game then its possible, otherwise I'll go so far as to say that WoW is pretty much impossible to play on a controller. Within the first hour you will run out of buttons and combinations of buttons.

I won't, but that's because I'm playing it on PC.

I think a lot of people will give it a chance if they somehow manage to make it playable on a XBox. Considering that it's nearly impossible to be a good raider with just the standard UI for WoW without addons, it's a very long shot.

Whahaha! I was about to say ... WoW boys trying to play the game without addons? I'd love to see that. The amount of mandatory addons on that game is quite sickening.

If you don't have Deadly Boss Mods etc. installed you don't even get a place in a raid group. It's so bad that there are even addons to check if you're running the right addons. I mean really now...

I see hardcore raiders flocking to this if they can manage this, the extra amount of challenge that's going to be added, would be insane.

and a valid point would be the addons. I can't go anywhere without my bag addons, the rest I can handle kind off. But arkinventory that shit helps man!

No addons? Not likely.

Can you say "More DLC" ?

If you run raids enough you will be able to identify most cases where you need to do something, sure DBM makes it easy and all, but it's not entirely impossible, although I am writing this from a ret pally perspective. All I do in most boss fights is just faceroll.

However when you're a healor or tank....eish

Dunno if you played early way back when before CTRaid and threat meters, first attempts in Molten Core... Still have fond memories of those times, running like 10 stopwatches, raid leaders barking over vent to tanks for stance dancing and people to get ready for the multitude of crap that was about to befall them, hunters being the only "safe" dps class because of feign death. Not necessarily keen on repeating that bit of history though =), especially considering encounters have only since become more complex.

All that aside, the turning speed for casters is another problem. Rogue hits sprint and runs circles around you, "you must face your target", you will never get a spell off.

Also, ingame communication? There is mic support, but the last thing you want is people mic spamming in general chat.

Really, any MMO coming out for consoles/controllers has to be specifically built from the ground up with that platform in mind. I don't doubt it can work, but the combat, zones, progression, communication, grouping and pvp HAS to be vastly different for that platform.

Bias aside (love/hate for consoles/WoW), simply copy pasting WoW onto the 360/PS3 without bundling a kb and mouse is going to end in a very bad experience for the users, I don't have to tell Blizz this though, I'm pretty sure they can tell when an idea is viable or not.
