I hear you guys and yes, it is a valid point for now. And yes, I'm one of those not too busy people.
But a Intel i5 750 is gonna cost you approx R2000. Now you can probably get a very similar performance from and AMD for less than that I'm sure. My question is this though, and don't get your panties in a bunch, because I think it's a fair question, How often do you replace your AMD to keep up with the new games vs how often will I replace my Intel?
Another thing, don't say I only spent R3500 on my AMD rig and you had to spend R5000. Take your R3500 and see what you can get for an Intel rig and measure performance against the AMD. Probably find it's the same. So how is Intel more expensive then? Granted it's not the same level of system, but it's quite disturbing that a lower level Intel is on par with a high end AMD.
At the end of the day though, each to his own. I have no specific allegiance to Intel, AMD, ATI(ok, they're gone now), Nvidia or any other brand. I buy for what I can afford and what gives me the most bang for buck. It basically comes down to how much can you and how much do you want to spend?
