i don't replace all that often really.

first amd was a 3500+ socket 939, then i replaced that about 2 years down the line with a dual core 4600+, then 4 years after that i did a complete overhaul to the am2+ platform and got myself the 6000+ dual core. now that cpu didn't last that long as the upgrade bug bit my hand off and i got myself the current cpu i'm using right now a Phenom 2 955 Black edition. and in all that time. 4 cpu's i only changed motherboard once.

the 6000+ lasted a year before i got the quad, as i upgraded in july 2008. the phenom 2 i bought in november of 2009
