Yes but it will still last many years, by which time you would have upgraded again. It's just getting more out of what you payed for.

I overclocked my 965BE to 3.8Ghz, and NB to 2.6Ghz and the CPU temperatures never exceed 33-35 degrees Celsius even under load. If this lasts me 3 years (which it surely will) that's awesome because I'll definitely upgrade by then.
