I mindlessly kill mosquitos, but they deserve it.
Heres an analogy of how games are zombifying us:
Games like sims turns you into a lowly shuffler while CoD turns you into a licker.

The singularity is about to explode! Weapons are at maximum.
Well, I suppose that those silly quick time, button-mashing events would be useful for something along the line :P
I don't think it's just action games that would help with decision making. I just think about all the complicated decisions I have to make playing RPGs when it comes to statistics and all that jazz. you have to weigh up what's going to be the best for your party and you need to be careful about it otherwise you'll suffer for the rest of the game.
Powder I think they ment like FOF regognition and stuff like that, not complex moral choices. Ill use the example of a Firefight match in Halo ODST me and Grimspoon had last night. As we play we do threat assement and FOF (Friend or Foe) recognition. We dodge grenades thrown and dudes with big ass hammers. As a result our brains are more accustomed to processing audio and visual information on the fly. If that makes sense.

I do think that RTS style games could help with thinking more strategicly, however looking at SC online or any RTS, players very rarely use high strategy to beat their oppponants. Tank Rushing or "Cheesy" tactics dont really teach us anything new. I think platformers help with timing.
You take in a lot of visual and audio with very little time, that what it sums up to. Helps you act fast in worse case if something.
