Japanese game developers in the doldrums

Japanese devs are definitely being left behind. There was a time I adored nearly every Japanese game I played, but these days most of their games lack any semblance of innovation or progress (bar Fumito Ueda's games, but they are as scarce as chicken teeth). They had better take note lest they fade away as a has been game developing nation.
 
Same with Konami - lagging behind EA in the footy game department. Guess they were just sitting on their laurels, however, they have picked up a gear with the latest release... so it's not all bad :)
 
but in general jap games are becoming quite horrible :(

Heres a solution. Stop making exclusives! There are 4 platforms avalable and most Japanese devs make their biggest games exclusive for either the PS3 or Wii.
