Fable 2 was alot of things but it didn't suck. Sure it wasn't the timeless epic that we where promised but this is Lionshead studios we're talking about, their reach always out stretched their grasp. In many respects Fable 2 was superior to the original. It has a larger world, more things to do, better combat, more balanced game play and some hard moral choices.

I dont thing Fable 3 is going to be a timeless epic either but one thing can be said it will be entertaining and it will continue to push for the player to care about the NPCs in the world with them.

Yeah I generally agree with Omega's sentiments.

I liked both games but they always failed on the hype they tried to generate. If they do manage to crack the code of making you really care, it will be amazing. The thing is, the setting, fart jokes, cross-dressing and punting chickens makes it hard to take it seriously. Maybe that is one reason why the emotional investment that they strive to include never really works?

The awesome thing about Fable III is that it's coming out for PC

I would have loved to play Fable II, but it wasn't even released for PC :/. Fable is one of my all time favourite games, I loved it and I can't wait for Fable III. I love Lionhead's games, I've been a fan since Black & White. There's something different to their games that I like and there's always a lot of effort put into them. Although I think they make the sort of games that, either you will love it or you will hate it.
