Actually, he's right. The PS3 is/was the lead platform for MoH.

Okay this is a little off-topic but seeing as though GT5 has been pushed back a month I can now get an extra game and that can either be Medal of Honor or Star Wars: TFU2. Which should I do?
I want both at some stage.

I've finished the SP campaign now and I thought it was pretty decent, a lot better than MW2's crappy singleplayer campaign. (MW2 is crap IMO because it is the exact same game as CoD4 with different missions and an incoherent storyline.) Anyway, MoH was really fun and I'm enjoying the challenge that is Tier 1 mode. MP is still good fun, except for all the damn snipers, but apparently they are working on a patch for that.
I finished the game on PS3 and I played it a bit on the X360 at work over the weekend and it is very obvious that the PS3 was the lead platform. We are all aware of the "texture streaming issue" that the Unreal Engine has and this is a lot more evident on the X360 from I've seen. Everytime you switch between weapons (on the X360) it has to load the texture for the gun first (at least during the mission I played) - I have not noticed this on PS3, it does happen, but not everytime you switch weapons.
It's weird that it performs better on PS3 (disregarding the fact that it was the lead platform) because as far as I know the X360 is much better with the Unreal Engine than the PS3.
I must say i havent really noticed the texture issues on the 360 and weapon switching is fast and smooth and no texture issues from what I have played.About a third through on the xbox, the pc version looks much better(finished the sp on pc over the weekend)and does not suffer from any texture issues. There was one or two checkpoint errors on the pc though....
cheers

I dunno hey, I didn't play the whole game on X360, only one mission. During that one mission (the first one you play as the Ranger) it had to load the gun texture everytime I switched weapons, maybe it was just a glitch?
I know, especially considering the fact that the SP uses Unreal Engine.![]()
It's kinda lulzy, actually. I Googled "medal of honor ps3 lead platform" and got a zillion hits, which kinda shows it's Big Fucking News. No idea how I missed that. It's usually just assumed (and correctly so) that the lead development is for PC or, increasingly, Xbox. And yeah, as you say, UE3 and Xbox are pretty much sleeping together. As far as I'm aware, however, UE3 was heavily modified for Medal of Honor, so perhaps its "native" platform was irrelevant here.
