Well, to be honest, I met my wife on a IRC channel. She lived in Pta and myself in CT. Chatted for a while online, then started phoning each for a few months, then decided I wanted to meet her. Now, almost 10 years later, we've been married for 7 years and still going strong. Freaked lotsa people out at the time. These days, people not so weirded out by it.
PS, I'm proud to call myself a geek. And geek is also a relative term. Typically you think of some skinny kid with pimples and glasses, but to me a geek is simply someone who enjoys all things electronic and gimicky.
Age of the geek baby!

Well I've been playing WoW for just over a year(started July 2009) now. It's saved me a lot of money, only games i have bought since starting it were FFXIII and SC2. I really do enjoy it.
I'm also dating the most beautiful women I've ever seen/met, (we met by having mutual friends) in december she sent me a facebook message and January we started dating. She can't play WoW since her laptop sucks but she owns in Killzone 2![]()
WoW is one of those games where there really can't be a stereotype of the players because its kind of like "everyone's" dirty little secret. There are lots of asshats and 12 year olds, but also lots of great people from all walks of life. Some of my best online friendships were made in WoW, most of them not the type you would expect to be playing games at 4am on a weeknight.
