    Also from what I heard there's not a lot in the iphone box anyway. Plus a colleague spoke to customs about import a gearbox, and they said couriered items very rarely get checked by customs.

    Well, two out of three times now I've been charged by customs for Blu-rays ordered from Amazon.co.uk Not very big amounts, but I suspect because it is clearly a purchase and not a gift, the levy a fee. Wonder if I get amazone to gift wrap it would make a difference?

    How do you get Amazon.co.uk to deliver to SA? I tried to order some stuff recently (Nintendo DS games) but they weren't willing to ship them here.

    Certain items won't or can't be shipped to SA due to restrictions etc. Books and DVD/Blu-rays are seldom a issue. Electronics etc is a bit more complicated.

    Ah that explains it. A pity though, since things like that are SO much cheaper over there.
