Default DICE Say BF3 Needs “Special Attention”

Speaking on the EA Forums, DICE designer Alan Kertz talks a bit about the consideration he has had to put into the PC version of Battlefield 3. He says that PC players are, like their machines, a little more demanding, and as such need extra work on DICE’s part. He explains that this will affect his work on the as-yet-unrevealed game: “It’s too early to talk BF3 specifics. But it’s never too early for me to acknowledge that PC players have a fear that BF3 will be “consolized.” PC gaming is alive and well, BFBC2 has proven that and no one at DICE or EA can argue with the numbers. Battlefield 3 needs an extra bit of special attention on the PC. I intend to give it that attention, tradition and our community demand it.”

I, for one, can’t wait to see those specifics.

We can only hope that what he says, and they will make a truly epic game.

Don't hold your breath Been let down too many times by EA and DICE to believe a single word they say.

I still can't see why they don't just use the BF2 engine and build a new game around that. AIX2 proved what you can do graphically with that engine. New maps, some new vehicles and a few new weapons... BAM!!!! new game That could probably us busy for another five years like BF2 did. Same it will never happen though.

Dice worked hard on BF2 and bc2 was awesome, now if they can do something better with BF3,I would easily put 1000 hours into it <3

BF2 was awesome, BC2 was ok after all the patches and MoH is a fuck-up.

As much as I'm looking forward to BF3, and I really am, I fear that Dice will fuck it up as well, as their greed will get the better of themselves.

I'm sure MOH will get better after a while with new patches on the way.

As for BF3,i really want to fly a jet again like in BF2 and i would like awesome physics like in BC2.

BTW why would you want to use an old engine for an awesome new game.
It's still hard to think that MW2 uses an updated doom3 engine
