They are focusing on what they do well. They have proven they can deliver an excellent pc game. Considering the console version of witcher 1 never saw the light of day and is still on hold , there lots of questions marks on that version.
Also witcher on the pc has a proven sales record. The story has a strong foothold in eastern and northern europe because of the books were pc is still the dominant force as opposed to consoles. The pc sales in the rest of the world were also very good. They also have lots of good will with the enhanced edition that was released free to gamers who bought the normal edition.
We will have to see how the console version does if it ever gets released. Its not confirmed yet.
