I wonder why iGame is renting servers from MWEB when their own clients won't be able to play on the servers? They're basically renting servers for the benefit of MWEB ADSL users. It's a weird move by iGame - it doesn't make sense at all. From what all the reports have been saying is that unless you're with MWEB or some I.S based account - you cannot play CoD: Black Ops in South Africa.
Even the statements from WebAfrica seem very vague. The one statement on MyGaming states that SAIX is not peered with MWEB at all, but WebAfrica, who mostly uses SAIX for their ADSL accounts, are saying that they are peered with MWEB? I'm sorry, but I'm trying my best to put 1 and 1 together here to get to the expected result of "2", but I keep getting 13.

I agree with the thought that MWEB have missed a golden opportunity here to push their agenda a little further using one of the biggest online games available.

It might be good in the sense that iGame will get a lot of complains from gamers about latency issues, and then they(iGame) put some pressure on MTN to peer with mweb
@Neo
I'm lost mate, how will iGame renting from mweb cause more members switching to mweb? Or do you perhaps mean in terms of peering/latency issues cause gamers to jump ship to mweb or their peering partners?
Also, if mweb were to host servers alone, how many would they host? It's not like mweb isn't paying gameservers.com for renting.

Soz than, I thought iGame was on MTN's infrastructure lol, which will not be peering with mweb
Anyway, I think you missed my point in that whoever iGame uses for hosting, that they can perhaps put pressure to peer with mweb since gamers will moan
