Lord of the Rings Online supported in South Africa

As of 2 November 2010 LOTR Online adopts a free-to-play model and it's open to South African gamers

How would LORTO online compare to say Guild Wars. I don't mean which is better...I more mean what kind of MMO is it. Is it more like a PvE RPG kind of MMO or more like a PvP kind of MMO?

Oh and like...is it good? ^^

Is it worth installing if you only want to play on your own without joining a guild (or whatever the LOTR equivalent is)?
