CoD: Black Ops reviews are up

My initial reaction is dissapointment.... Not to the game, but XBL hosting. I have picked up my copy but must put some work in first before retiring for the day to play. I have a load of mates online right now playing though and they say "NO LOCAL BLACKOPS" - this for XBox360 of course. Unlike MW2 where we could get local games going, BlackOps does not have the option. So have to play with international lag.
I think I am going to purchase a copy of BlackOps via Steam and at least get to play on the local MWeb BO server. Kak though. I much prefer XBox360.
I wish I had known this before spending my cash on a game focused at multiplayer but cannot play locally ):
To make it worse, it looks like migrating my XBL account to a local SA one tomorrow is not a good idea based on pricing. I may have to though if I want to get a local game. But then I lost out on a whole lot of other XBL features that are being chopped off for SA.
The XBox360 situation in South Africa simply blows. If it were not for the great friends I have made on XBL I would jump ship to PS3.

Played it last night and loved it. Played the story mode first but could not resist checking out the online play (even though I was warned not to go online until midnight). Its early days but I give it an 8/10. Interesting comment re XBL hosting Dominion. Could test local hosting because I played international only. On that note, black OPS connects to international games a lot fast than MW.

This is just stupid. Look at titles like Reach and how easy it was to play with anybody on ur firendlist not to metion the breeze of finding matching with almost non existant lag. This speaks of poor design by the devs.

MW2 was P2P and took awhile to find a game sometimes, this is dedicated servers. Surely it should connect quickly.
