So I created an account... the market place is practically empty.
Arcade only has two games and some of the popular DLC is available. All in all not a particularly convincing start.

I'm rephrasing this because my original reply came over as way too harsh.
I'm thankful to Microsoft that they've given South Africa XBOX Live because it's something that we've been asking them for years. However, as it's been pointed out in the article, the cost of Live Gold Membership and the price difference with Live points makes absolutely no sense to me. To add insult to injury, there are a lot of unanswered question from Microsoft about you current content that you may have.
So, higher prices on Gold members and points, uncertainty over the content that I've already downloaded and paid for and there's nothing to motivate me to move across to the South African Live environment. PLUS our version of Live actually supports less than the UK/US versions...
Wow. Really? I'm staying put with my international account thanks.

My ignore list: growing too fast to keep updating.
Is there anything to stop me from creating a second, SA account alongside my UK account? I'd like to take the local service for a test drive.

Here's my thoughts http://discless.co.za/xbl-sa-impressions/
Much more feasible to use current uk and us accounts.. i mean where's the incentive to migrate.. there's no facebook or zune or any of the other stuff like that.. but hey i guess its a start.. hopefully sooner rather then later it kicks up a gear however i highly doubt it..
Here's top hoping they will add content ASAP.
