Damn, anyone experiencing major internet issues today? I'm at work in Pretoria. Can browse here and news24. Also managed to open www.telkom.co.za
International sites seem to be unreachable.

Good Afternoon everyone
We have currently lost connection to our international bandwidth due to failures on both the primary and secondary fibre links into our data centre. Engineers are working as fast as possible to restore the connectivity. we apologize for any inconvenience caused by this and will try to resolve the matter as quickly as possible.
Kind Regards
MWEB Guy
UPDATE: There are currently road works at the Buccleuch Interchange & they damaged the cable. Our engineers are currently on-site and estimated time for fix will be 3 hours. Our sincerest apologies for this inconvenience. We are doing everything we can for you.
Thanks to those who have shown us support.

Well done Mweb!
Bet you it was a telkom employee posing for the muncipality![]()
Omw, eish!
They can just be glad it wasn't one of their engineers that broke it, that would be a serious CLM. Quite a hectic thing for an ISP to lose comms to their international links![]()
