    Default Car Scam ALERT!!!!

I was looking for a cheap car on autotrader and saw a Toyota Yaris for a dirt cheap price. I am the person that always questions things when deals are too cheap.

    http://search.autotrader.co.za/www/c...01046187237614

The contact by email only got me suspicious. I emailed any way to get more information and here is the response:

First of all I want to thank you for your interest to buy my car.
The car (2006 TOYOTA YARIS 1.0 PETROL MANUAL) it's registered in South Africa and I had all the services done there. It is in perfect condition, no scratches, excellent maintained. It has no accident or any engine problem. It has 33597 km's.
The car is in my garage in East London.
A couple of months ago I moved in United Kingdom with my family. I'm a dentist and have opened a Dental Clinic with other 2 colleagues here.
I made a loan so we can open the clinic, and now I have to sell my car so I can pay the debts.
The price of R27000 is not negotiable. I'm not interested in any trade with other car because the price is already very advantageous.
Since I'm very busy with my work I don't have the possibility to return in South Africa and meet all the potential buyers, I've decided to use the Escrow Services of MoneyBookers.
If you agree with my price, I need from you the following details, so I can register this transaction at MoneyBookers:
    - First Name
    - Last Name
    - Full Address
    - Email address.
After that, MoneyBookers will contact you with all the necessary information ( regarding the shipping, inspection and all that is necessary to have a fast and safe transaction ).
I'm waiting for your reply with the requested details and with any other questions that you may have.

    Kind Regards,
    Dr. Richard Eberlein

    Hello,

I am really interested in the 2006 Toyota Yaris that you have advertised on Autotrader for R27 000.
Sorry for the frank question but why is it so cheap? Has it been involved in any accidents?

I then immediately googled the "MoneyBookers" name along with "car scam" and came across this:

I pray that no one will fall for this. I have also alerted AutoTrader of the scam.

Agree Think they'll start to choke once they realise the buyer is in the same town as the car.

Meh, any post-year 2000 model car is allready a scam to begin with.

    Hey,

I am also in the market for a cheapie and I phone them to arrange a viewing, if they can't then I pass. I will also need some sort of contract before paying any monies to them.
