Default Rate the last book you read.

Book - Southern Vampires (1): Dead Until Dark
    Author - Charlaine Harris
    Rating - 8/10

It's the basis for the TV series called "True Blood." The beginning was tedious, followed by random dramatical bits and a very dramatic finish. All in all it was a good read, albeit a tad cliche'd with regards to vampires and their way of life. The setting and main character are not things I can identify with at all, but it was different and helped to make things slightly more interesting.

He's Just Not That Into You
Author: Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo
    5/10

Seriously one stupid book, i knew everything that was all ready in it. And the stories they made up were so slapstick it's just irritating.

    The Scar - China Mieville
    8/10

This a side story to Perdido Street Station.
It lacked the authenticity and the grittiness of the characters that Perdido Street Station had.
All and all a good read if you are looking for something that is NOT your classic fantasy template.

Book - Confessions of a Crap Artist
    Author - Philip K Dick
    Rating - 7/10

One of his non-sci fi books. Was an enjoyable read, he got the characters down well.

But I kept longing for some kind of super-natural or tech event to happen. Guess I'm just too used to his sci fi stuff :P

Stolen Throne by David Gaider. The Dragon Age Origins Novel.

7/10. Pretty good story and I like the writing but then I have liked all Gaider's writing in all of his games. But it was good for a first novel. I liked how there was no happy ending for anyone.

    The Silmarillion
    Authors: J.R.R. & Christopher Tolkien
    Rating - 10/10

It revolves around the history of the Lord of the rings fantasy. Explaining where the elves, men, dwarves, orcs, etc. come from as well as the hierarchy including the Balrog (10 of them were the bodyguard's of Sauron's master, Melkor) to name but a few. Extremely interesting, but complex reading.
