Gran Turismo 5 review (MyGaming)

This review in some parts is not going to go down well for PS3 users and just added fuel to the Forza 3 debarcle... Which one is graphically superior. I am sad to say Polyphony may have made a mistake port GT4 cars and tracks over to GT5 as this would make xbox Fanboys think that the xbox is superior...

(N.B.I believe each console has its pros and cons)
 
Awesome review, love the game to bits, i musyt say though i would have thought that some cars would be Premium. I wonder how they came up to that selection of which cars should be std and which shouldn't. Eitherway it's an awesome experience.
 
Haven't played it myself, but my mate says it's shite as well - he was totally pissed off :p Apparently some of the car models are ridiculously bad as well.
 
If you have played GT4 on PS2 then GT5 would feel so familiar but not in a good way. Some cars look nearly as good as Forza 3's cars but others.....

Also feels that the tuning doesn't make the cars handle different or make it faster. Really so disgusted that i wasted money on this. Buy a PS3 for Drake's or Killzone etc. but not for GT5.
 
I played it last night at a buddy's place and it wasn't too bad. My biggest gripe with it is that it feels more like GT4 HD than GT5. So I'll probably wait till it goes platinum before I buy it.

You are joking right?
I think all the people saying that they didn't enjoy the game haven't played any of the gran turismo series, because it is exactly like all the other games, just with more cars & tracks, better physics, better modeling, better graphics. I think you all should stick to need 4 speed
 
My opinion won't really matter on this one as I haven't played any of the other titles, nevertheless I will give it a whirl and give my honest opinion :)
 
I played Gran Turismo since number one and I can say that it's not the kind of improvement I was hoping for. It's good, but if you've played GT4 it's just not enough.
 
So I played for a bit last night, and it was ok. Didn't really blow me away to be honest. Not bad, but personally prefer Forza 3.

Need for Speed is not a simulator, it's a arcade game just like GT5 really is. No way it is a simulator. Play GT4 and tell me that Sony really made an effort to give the gamers something better (gameplay, graphics, physics, etc.) to play for the next 6 years till GT6 is launched. Maybe they should just the franchise just die and try something from new.
 
Hi guys, big GT fan, slightly off topic but do any of you know if GT5 has PS3 Move support? Haven't really been interested in the Move until I discovered the steering wheel controller. From what I've been told the Move is pretty accurate, so using it to play GT might be pretty cool...

Nope it doesn't have Move support.
 
I entered the comp several times to win this game but with no luck. looking at this review is however tipping me towards letting go of some moola
