I've been very satisfied with iPhone's offerings for the last couple of years so if it were me with that budget I'd get a 3GS. You can pick one up brand new for around R5500.

Concept phone of Nokia's. Its suppose to be made from Nano tech materials which allows it to be bent, soak up sunlight to recharge stuff like that. This vid describes it better than I could.
I must that the iPhone IV has been the phone that I have used and enjoyed the most from all me cell phones.

Where can I go or browse online to see who has what cell phones and the pricing?
Most places don't seem to list very many phone and then when they do, it seems to be mostly contract options with very limited options.
If I could have a new phone right now it would be an HTC Desire HD. But you can get the Desire for less than R6k.
