hmmm did same with nfs carbon last night, but my guess it is more to do with the fact that some protection schemes don't like SATA drives to much. had this issue a few times now on both xp and vista 64.

It sucks when that happens. It's the absolute worst when you go out to buy a game and you look forward to it and then it's just impossible to play.
yeh i had that with bioshock... it kept asking for the orginal disk which it was and at that stage i was having major problems with my pc... as I installed the game I renamed the installation folder when it was done installing therefore stopping it from deleting the directory closed it inserted my disk and ran yasu..... next thing it was working like beauty![]()

agreed..consoles are for people who just like things as they are.. Me I like the fact that i can test my rig by boosting up the graphic quality etc
I generaly try to find no cd crack for all my games i buy. As i hate Disks
