Half of Ubisoft's games will be 3D in 2012

I find 3D a bit overrated. Sure i have not played a 3D game yet, but with movie experience left me disappointed at times.
 
Im curious has anybody tried out Batman AA GOTYE in 3D? Im looking to get but am curious to see if there is any real point to the whole 3D thing or if its just another gimmick.
 
To be fair; the only place stereoscopic 3D belongs, is in simulator games. For others, its simply a gimmick.
 
This should fit interestingly with their recent comment on "5 MMO'S!!!1one"... An MMO in full 3D... I don't whether to be excited ... or afraid.
 
...so you're telling me my shiny LCD that i've just finished paying will be obsolete soon?!?

I think that gamers must be given the final choice: games can be released in both 3D and non-3D versions...up to the user to decide which to use...
 
Welllll that's kinda what they do now isn't it. It's just a driver feature. If you don't have it then it doesn't apply to you. Not a very difficult thing to implement.
