200 BT Games Diablo III Collector's Edition pre-orders delayed

So wait its been delayed but they have to pick it up at the midnight launch. or they force a cancel.
 
Orders through Kalahari will only be delivered on Friday, so go go BT Games I guess..

Took that from the other thread. Can anyone confirm this for the extra CE stock that Kahalari procured recently?

It looks as if this batch of 200 CE was labelled as "Midnight Launch" on the e-mail confirmation, but have subsequently been delayed.

Presumably BT Games will honour these deposits when the stock finally arrives. It will be interesting to see how they handle their customers in this regard.

On a side note, I'm pretty sure that non-refundable deposits for products are not in line with the Consumer Protection Act. I might just ask one of MyGaming's lawyer contacts about that.

I also ordered through takealot. According to them they're shipping with the goal to get it to us by the 15th.
 
This is more or less the same thing as what happened to me with my Pre Order of the BF3 Vault Pack
It amazes me how a company that caters to a specific market can go on blindly cashing in on gamers taking pre orders when at the very first sign of a delay they shift the blame and then hope the problem goes away if it is ignored long enough

Yeah. I received I phone call from Takealot a few days ago informing me that as Stellenbosch is considered a regional area they can't guarantee that I will receive the the package on the 15th. They can only guarantee it will be here by the 18th, though it might very well be here earlier.

I just decided to not take the chance and changed my order from delivery to collection. I wasn't planning on going, but I will now be attending the midnight launch at the Expresso Studios in Sea Point.

The lady that phoned me is called Nonny. She is super friendly and helpful. :) I must say I am impressed with the customer service from Takealot. Nice one!
