3D Glasses

If memory serves, I have this monitor: Samsung S27A950D

I know you primarily get two type of 3D glasses; active and passive. From my understanding is that this monitor uses the active glasses. I can't find any specifics on model number for the glasses and thus can't find any way to purchase them locally or even how much I'll be looking at.

Does it matter what glasses I get, can I get other active glasses?

its quite difficult to find glasses for Samsung products. especially the older types. it took us more than a year to find a pair that works on our tv.

Don't suppose the crappy ones you get in the cinemas will work?

Those are passive... As far as active ones go, I think there's a few different kinds. My buddy got a 3D projector and I think I found it needs specific DLP compatible glasses, so you'll probably want to do a bit more digging... Sorry I can't be more specific than that.

Active glasses are the battery operated ones

the pair spec'd for that monitor is the SSG-M3750CR, but you may have to find a newer compatible pair

I've found this info:

UNIT 7 REDLYN PARK 5 RIVERHORSE, RIVERHORSE VALLEY, DURBAN
....031 569 2223

Ok, so I've borrowed a pair of active and passive glasses from a friend. Now how do I go about setting this up to test it?

The monitor has a few options for 3D including; 2D->3D and frame sequential.

Then do I also need to set this up through the nVidia Control Panel?
