6850 Toxic Driver stopped responding

I have a 6850 Toxic and recently it started giving me "the display driver has stopped responding" i have tried different driver versions even went beta and still does the same thing.

Even went as far as reloading windows

Any Ideas?
 
I am having the same issue with my laptop's ATI Radeon HD 4570 drivers. It happens with stock and 3rd party drivers. I wonder if it isn't maybe a hardware issue as it was running absolutely fine for years and only recently started giving issues.

I also formatted and re-installed so that is why I think it is hardware issues as the software was stock standard. No changes from the retail drivers or OS.
 
How to find out what hardware cos i haven't changed anything in the last year i have actually gone so far as to order myself a new GPU will see in a weeks time if it changes
 
my 6870 also did it recently . tried like 4 different drivers and had to order a new GPU now i have the 7870 :D
 
and no issues since? not even with the Beta?

I just ordered the new iteration of that the Powercolor R9 270X O.C but it's only getting released on the 21st
 
Issue not resolved if i run ATI tool i get artifacts and even went as far back now as 13.4 drivers but still getting the damn error every now and then and seeing as BF4 doesn't support lower than 13.4 i can't go lower(But beta is over now so maybe i should try).

Can't evven run 3dmark on it it won't complete so i guess it's on it's way out then

What would you suggest on that or just wait for the new Gpu?

I will have it by the 23rd.
 
Had a similar issue with my HD5970, eventually loaded Windows 8 (to my dismay) and it's working 100's. Though I'm not happy about Win8, at least the problem is gone :P
