Aion - General Discussion

Its was such a pain playing my Gladiator again after so much time with the Mage. Mage is lekker uber powerful.

*lol* Glass cannon indeed.

In some ways - especially with regards to survivability, I prefer the spiritmaster - although I haven't played SM since the beta, and that not much past level 10 - so I'm not sure what they're like at later levels.

On the Asmodae side I've heard SMs can solo the Black Claw elites

Been seeing some really awesome pics of this game everywhere. Just wondering what sort of Graphics would you need to play decently?? I have a Nvidia GeForce 9400GT 512mb card. Is that okay??

100%

Apart from the capitol cities taking some time to load (due to a crapton of people running around), my 8600GT handles the rest of the game fine.

A handy trick if you're low on frames is pressing Shift+F12 in cities.

It basically makes all other players invisible apart from their name tag. Also handy to use in Fortress battles when there's a thousand people in one spot.

I've disabled player tags all together. You only see their tag if they're in your group or if you mouse-over them.

That helps if you want to go to any of the traders ... because when there's a whole clod of players around the dude you haven't a chance in hell of finding him.

Regarding the Graphics Card question earlier - I'm running on a 512MB NVidia 9400 - I have no problems running it full detail at 8x AA.

I've scaled it down a bit - like Voicy said, in the busy areas things take a while to load sometimes.

BT has stock but Take2 doesn't. I was bust reading now and there is alot of install guides. Does this apply to people who buy the game. Do I have to still download the game or does the disk have everything?

Also how much bandwidth does this game use up....?? Dont wanna whack my cap in one week....

Well that's the thing ...

Gear in this game is AMAZING...plus you can add colour dyes to it - or even trade in armor to match your current set.

When a guy is wearing cloth or plate - you can clearly see it...Not like WoW where everyone looks like a power ranger.
