Alice in WonderLand - 3D - Epic

Tinman

Has anyone seen this?

The driving force behind this movie is the visuals. Some excellent recreations of characters like the Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat and the Queen of Hearts were also highly memorable.

The story itself was OK. It was cool that they didn't simply rely on the original story, and instead developed on events from the classic novel.

The star of the show for me though, was most definitely the 3D. Absolutely amazing, +10 immersion points.

/agree.

some scenes was visually stunning while other was really well presented. i did like what they have done with the characters as you point out however i did personally find the flick to be a tad bit boring to be honest, but doesn't mean the movie was total failure.

went to see it on friday night. lesson; make sure the person who books the tickets don't choose between first row and middle row lol. the cinema itself was about 90% full of not more in the direction of 99%. a lot of people went to see it- i guess it did pretty well.

did have a laugh at the worm being Severus Snape (Alan Rickman) and the Jabberwocky using voice of saruman (christoper lee).

Saw the normal one and its a good movie , but they should have use someone else for the white queen.

Tinman, my fiance and I are thinking of going to go watch it in 3D at Menlyn this weekend, she loves Alice. Heard this movie even beat Avatar at box office, so she will be enjoying it I'm sure.

Also, were big fans of Tim Burton.

Hmmmm...I'm beginning to get the impression that film makers are starting to rely purely on wowing people with visuals and less so with a story line. But this won't stop me and, you guess it, the missus going to see it.

P.S. Funny how everyone mentions the 'missus', as though to make others aware that we aren't socially retarded geeks :P

Only reason i would go watch this is cause of the 3d and visuals, but think i would rather wait for dvd.

Yeah I watched this over the weekend. The visuals in 3D make it a very memorable experience. I was completely engrossed in the movie. Makes you feel as though you are right there.

Aside from that I actually enjoy the Alice in Wonderland story and have read the book a number of times. So that was enjoyable too.
