Hrmm...yes. In the February 2009 issue of NAG, in a column by Derrick Cramer titles "Worth the price", a R22000 gaming laptop was compared to a rough desktop equivalent
[which had an E8400 and Geforce 9600GT as compared to the lappy's 2.53Ghz Centrino 2 P9500 and Geforce 9600M GT] In that instance, one ends up paying over R11000 for the convenience of being able to take a much more portable gaming PC to a LAN.
I don't know what gaming laptops go for in first world countries, buy in these parts rockling up at a LAN with one of these means that one probably has money to burn [
or more money than sense. At any rate, it should boost one's 1337 credentials.

Kudos to AMD for squeezing the 4800 onto a 40nm die. Let us hope that this means that the smaller chip does not operate at the same temperatures as its 55nm relatives. Even better for them if they can pump out these chips relatively cheaply for those who like to do their PC gaming on the move.
