A bit disappointing to see that the 5970 quite consistently beats the 6970, I was hoping for my next "must have" upgrade to come around, especially considering the price point of the 6970. It seems more of a downgrade though.

I'll wait for more reviews and driver releases, but it seems my 5970 has been saved from the chopping block for the time being.

EDIT: And with a bit more research I find that the 6970 is a single GPU replacement for the 5870 (confusing naming schemes FTW), not a dual GPU replacement for the 5970. Seems I still need to wait a bit for the "6970x2".
