Angry Birds maker clocks record profits

Rovio Entertainment says the popular Angry Birds franchise helped it double revenue in 2012, with net profit surging more than 55 percent to 55.5 million euros ($71.2 million).

Rovio said Wednesday total game downloads have exceeded 1.7 billion since the December 2009 launch of Angry Birds.

Does this include updates, as it seems you have to download a new version if you update the game on Android?
