I wonder how many Wii-U consoles were sold. It doesn't make the top 5 list of Nintendo. How does it compare to the XBox One and PS4?

It is on the list. The Sega Megadrive and the Sega Genesis is the same thing.

When it comes to gaming, the one that has stood out the most for me was the megadrive (Genesis). Just brings back extremely fond memories of a happier time.

Lol at MS sales figures. Pale in comparison to Sony and Nintendo.

Personally from console point of view, the PS2 is still the console with the best games and has the most life in it, I replaced around 3 controllers on that beast of a console. I'm still sitting with my original PS3 controller, might be built better I don't know but it has not nearly seen as much action as the PS2 controllers have.
Just looking at all the HD remakes of all the PS2 games it comes to show next gen does not always cut it gameplay wise.

You are looking at this wrong. Microsoft came onto the scene with the XBox which is way later into the game than Sony and Nintendo, yet they still managed to sell more XBox 360s than what Sony could manage with the PS3. So I'm a bit surprised that you laugh at their sales figures.

Not really. There was no genuine competition at the time when PS2 was in it's prime. And the Wii just cornered the casual gamer market before anybody else
