Black Ops private servers gonna be live in time?

I see that my rented Black Ops server is still reporting "Pending Install in (ZA) Johannesburg, South Africa".

The pessimist in me says that there is no way my private server is going to be live and ready to play at 4am tomorrow when Black Ops unlocks on Steam...

Are any of you optimists?

So you rented a sever from them :O
Will have to speak to the mweb guys to make sure but since this is Africa everything will be done in African time.

So here's some last minute questions... (posted on various forums)

WRT connectivity, we know the following:
SAIX based accounts will result in bad pings.
(most) IS based accounts will result in good pings.

Q1:
Please can someone point me to a list of SAIX ISP's and to IS ISP's... I know a few of each, but i still think a list would be great. It would REALLY suck for guys that need to make a plan at the last minute to get a certain prepaid ISP account to jam, only to not be able to for whatever reason..

Q2:
Will Black Ops need international bandwidth to play? Or will Local Only accounts work? (Axxess Local only prepaids go for R10!). This question might be 2-fold as AFAIK, the game has Steam integration.. Which for all intensive purposes = international cap.

Q3:
Does the game's server browser have a "filter by region/latency" option? Otherwise, how would one find the (hopefully many) SA servers? (I realise this may not be answerable now).

Thanks in advance!

A1: This may be of some assistance.

A2: That's an interesting question. It is being hosted on local servers, so in a way it won't. However, it requires you to be connected to Steam while playing, so you will have to maintain an international connection. Route sentry may be an option, but I'm really not an expert on this.

A3: No one knows, but I'm sure many will be able to answer this question tomorrow.

I will give feedback on my experience with my capped Afrihost account tomorrow evening.

Q1:

- MWEB
- Afrihost
- Axxess
- IS

Q2:

- International connectivity for Steam connection and stats uploading and downloading, local connectivity for uploading and downloading to and from dedicated servers.

Q3 :

- Im waiting on the servers to be made active then ill be able to give you guys more details.

Q3 - Steam has this functionality.

Thanks for the answers guys.

Got myself an Afrihost Lite account just for Black Ops and did a tracert last night just to check, came back with 8ms - 30ms max.
Will just need to make sure that Steam doesn't decide to update TF2 or something without me knowing :P

My copy is sitting on my desk @ home waiting for me... Just need to get through the longest work day ever!
(even though i took the afternoon off ;) )

Well here's what the server browser looks like.
