Blizzard is in a league of their own. Hence the reason why they can hold their own event and not go to E3 like everyone else.

Their games are so addictive! I still sometimes fire up Diablo 2.

this move has convinced me to NOT buy it anymore, after initially being very excited by it.

whats next? monthly subscriptions, ala WoW?

and they will be treading on thin ice with Diablo 3. theres no local LAN options to be included. how many of you played this game on local LAN?
 
I loved playing Diablo II on a LAN. In fact I spent way too many hours doing just that. However since then I got a proper Internet connection. It just doesn't feel necessary to have local LAN play supported. LAN play is a great bonus for those who do not have Internet but taking it out won't stop me from buying Diablo 3.

Sigh, what is happening with E3. Someone needs to resurrect the awesomeness ness ness that was.
 
It seems kind of like a slap in the face, though. Blizzard may be big, but ever since WoW it seems that they've just been getting more and more commercial. Still, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that when SC2 and DIII come out they don't suck completely.
