Blocking irritating toolbars from installing

Hi everyone,

I would like to know is there any software or anything I can do to prevent those irritating tool bars from installing and messing up my browser? I use Mozilla Firefox as my default browser.

The reason I ask is that every time I leave my computer on, downloading some shit, my brother comes on, and installs all these irritating tool bars, trying to download some games, and also these weird PC speed up software. And yes, I am adding a password now to my computer.

Thanks.

You're on the right track.
Password lock your PC and just simply don't install toolbars, unless NECESSARY!

I feel you dude. I have some of that kak on my pc and I can't get it off. Tried to download a audio converter a while back and I swear I cancelled it when I saw it had one of these toolbars, but somehow the toolbar is now there and I can't delete the thing. It even changed my defualt search engine which is really annoying and I can't seem to reset that either.

I never let anyone use my pc ever! Well except when my girlfriend wants to play bf3. But other than that never. I've had cases where people even arrange my icon's.... I mean really???

It would seem that there isn't a proper software or something to do the trick. I am going to think of a nice, hard password (my brother has been able to guess all my previous passwords - thats why I don't use it anymore because he will probably guess the next one).

Is there maybe some software that can let me login by taking a pic of me on my webcam and somehow match it with a picture of me stored on the computer?

How about you teach him about the toolbars or how to download games or even get the games for him or create a user account for him on your pc with yours lock and I can't believe you are stupid enough not to be able to use a password that he can't guess.
