Bugs. Bugs? Bugs! Bugs...

Hi MyGamers,

We have all experienced our fair share of bugs/glitches within the games we play. Some 'progress-hindering', others annoying, many of them frustrating - and some even funny.

Care to share some "bugged out" moment with the rest of us. Maybe we've shared similar, if not, the same kinds of bugs others have come across.

I came into one some days ago playing Far Cry 3. Vaas's pirates were walking down this one part of the beach (more inland). I only noticed one guy showing up on the radar, the other not. The one that actually appeared on the radar was lying flat on the ground (as if paralysed). I'm pretty sure he was meant to be walking behind the other pirate :D

In GTA V cars and people will drop from the sky 'Saints Row 2' and 'The Third' have this bug as well. Earlier, in Skyrim, a Mammoth came plummeting down from a great height; it was on the ground a few feet away not 2-minutes ago... :)

I love Skyrim's glitchy physics (at times) especially when weapons enemies drop become projectiles and inexplicably fly across the room

I had one last night in farcry 3.

My bow had invisible arrows. So I would pull back the string with an invisible fire arrow, fire nothing and then boom, burning man from out of nowhere. I had fun with that.

In postal 2(an older game) i shot this one lady and her face went from black to white but only her face :wtf:

I had issues with Mafia 2 where every now and then I was driving or walking along, and I'd drop through the ground, and into the sky....

I remember SiN had tons of bugs until they released a couple of patches... Which I got off PC Format discs!

There was one bug at the oil platform which prevented me from boarding it, which cost me a complete restart of the game after the save wasn't compatible after the patch. Not that I minded, as the game was incredibly fun.

A bug in vampire Masquerade bloodlines my mate decided to stuff around on my save lol and he shot the one guy in a cafe and he turned into a giant bat and kept on flying against the roof.

Same game had a bug that prevented me from playing the game for a few months.

Skyrim
One bug where I have to talk to some storyline important character behind closed door and did not wanted to respond. Good thing Skyrim have console commands to skip over this scene.

Tomb Raider 4: The last revelation
It is known, that it loads for 10 minutes between levels on newer operating systems. So I ended up installing patch that fixes issue, but my old save games were incompatible with newer version of game. It turned out rather creepy. Most of game critical scripts never triggered and sometimes cutscene animations froze and stayed so in-game, allowing me to explore around it and barely managing to move to next via 10x harder paths (like shortcuts not added and requiring me to backtrack aaaaaall way back to beginning level or two to get to next part of game)

Red Alert 2
After another operating system re-installation, my games' references were wiped from system registry, yet games stayed at another drive. Launching game as usual, loaded savegame, and my heavily defended base BLEW UP at once, units inclusive! (Not a bug by the way)

Silent Storm
I hate when AI sometimes freezes, stopping game progress at all. Rare bug, but tough one.

Farcry 1
On one of levels where player must reach archives, there is lamp hanging mid-air in middle of jungles. Fascinating.

On one of following levels, there was large dude with rocket launcher and it happened that entrance to room was from flooded shaft below. The guy noticed me and jumped down into watery are below (remember, monsters are vulnerable to water if submerged fully). He started walking around that area, ignoring shaft. Once I peeked out of shaft he followed me into it and TADA! He's dead and saved me 300+ bullets.

Skyrim...currently at a bug that will have me reload about 3 hrs back to fix it. Couldn't even fix it with console commands. Haven't quite mustered up the will yet to reload.

Crysis 1 was full of wicked game stopping bugs. Mainly triggers that didn't trigger.

TombRaider...had to reload once (40mins) to get past a bug.

Most of the C&C games do that with their copy protection....runs a couple of mins and then boom.

The most messed up thing was LAN play on Tiberium Sun...was ultra cool except it lost sync with your friend and then silently replaced the player with AI. Me "wtf are you doing with the flame tank attack"...friend "what flame tanks?"

The few I remember are:

GTA Vice City when you are on a bike and you change clothes and hop back on the bike. You run while on the bike.

BF4 my player would sometimes become invisible to me.

Are you not playing with the unofficial bug patches? I'm running Skyrim using the STEP Project and it's been an amazing bug free experience. The only bugs I had were physics bugs but I found out it's because of my 120 Hz monitor. I now limit the framerate to 60 Hz and I've got no problems whatsoever.
