I am buying a PS4 and TV but don't know which too choose, if you guys can help that will be great.

Ps4: Bt games selling PS4 1tb slim with 2 controllers for R6000 or should I go for the Pro that's thousand more? and then I still need to buy games.

TV: The TV will go in my bedroom so I cant go too big, looking at 40-43inch and must be Samsung or LG as they make the best. Game and Dion Wired is selling a 40 FHD Samsung for around R5000 and they also have a 49 FHD LG for R7000, but I think that one will be too big. DW also sells a 43 Smart FHD LG for R6000. Will these TVs work fine with a PS4? or should I be looking at other TVs?

I wont be getting a UHD TV any time soon as I know the PS4 Pro works better on those but are just too expensive.

Which will make the best combo here? or is there other products I should be looking at?

Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the Forums, Lost. I noticed you posted in off-topic as opposed to the general gaming form, but that's okay you are new and we all make mistakes.

Short Answer:
Slim + FHD and Pro + UHD.

Long Answer:
You can still use Pro on a FHD or a Slim on a UHD. The Pro has more power but, it up-scales games to 4k. So it simply adjusts to the resolution of the UHD TV. It also has HDR (found in high end TV's) and it can boost the fps in certain games as well as produce some visual upgrades. At present there is very little difference between the Pro and the PS4, according to Eurogamer

Any TV/Monitor with a HDMI input will suffice.

Otherwise R 5000 for a 40" Samsung is a pretty standard price in most retailers, it's a good TV.

The LG is also a nice buy since it has the Smart TV functions which have WiFi connectivity and a host of other features that let you integrate your TV with the internet to stream.

If you are willing Makro has a Hisense 40" UHD for R5999 Link

If your budget can allow it, the UHD and the Pro is a really nice combo, however as you said you still need to buy games and sadly those are becoming expensive (R900+ for new releases). Either way you will never lose out. Sony will not make Pro exclusives, so you will not be left out with games.
