Cosatu is on a dangerous, downward slope, ANC secretary-general Gwede Mantashe said on Tuesday.

"The unions are under siege because... [of] a lack of experience amongst organisers and officials who are not equipped to deal with those challengers," Mantashe told Congress of SA Trade Union (Cosatu) national office-bearers at their collective bargaining conference in Boksburg, east of Johannesburg.

The unions are screwing this country up along with the government and their labor laws. Looks to me they don't understand that many companies simply can't afford to pay workers what they demand and therefore have to retrench employees or close down. Foreign businesses don't build their factories here or invest because of that. Labor here is too expensive. If we were a developed country with a strong economy and infrastructure its another matter. \

I mean hell, even our individual taxes are 0% - 40% in a developing country!
