Hi guys, just a heads-up. Esquire are now selling the CYBORG range of Mice and Keyboards. Been looking at getting myself a R.A.T.9 for a while now and the prices don't look too bad.

RAT 3 = R379 EX VAT
RAT 5 = Not in stock yet
RAT 7 = R739 EX VAT
RAT 9 = R999 EX VAT

Not too bad. Most online stores want R1600 for the RAT 9. :eek:
 
I had a Rat7 on order, then cancelled. Then ordered and canceled yet again.

I had some mates in a clan, all 6 of them bought the rat7, all 6 of them returned with issues, and they did not buy from the same retailer so you can't blame a bad batch. 2 of my clan mates bought them, both returned with the same issue, the twineye laser packs up which leaves you with horizontal movement only, vertical sensors pack up comepletely. Other than that and the fact that the adjustment tool holder breaks off quite easily, and weight system can come loose and jingles, it's an awesome mouse :)

2months and counting and my R.A.T.7 still works awesomely :)

ja net soos met alles is daar mense wat glad nie issues het met die goed nie. Ek soek RERIG nou nog een, maar te veel random crap.
 
PLayed with one on the weekend, and I dunno. Not for me. There are just too many fiddly things that need to be adjusted and tweaked and turned and whatever else. Annoying. And I still say too many things that can break.

This mouse is fucking awesome, yes and it warranted the foul language :D

I am in love with this Ratty. Just as I fell in love with my G5. I have had a few mice since, but nothing compares to this.

Precision is way up on my G5, very comfortable despite its looks. There are a number of ways to configure the mouse physically, I changed one of the palm rests, changed the pinky rest and it is perfect for me.

So overall I would seriously recommend one of these puppies. :D

Which palm rest are you using and which pinky rest? also how much of the weight discs are you packing onto it? its weird using a regular mouse once you've used this mouse...

Hey Wenz, I am using the rubber palm rest and the normal rubber pinky rest, the one pinky rest is weird, but pretty cool.

Had all the weights in, but took 2 out, feels better.

This is a fantastic mouse. :)

Whats your setup?

oh Ok cool. i am using all the weights and i am using the raised palm rest with the weird pinky rest thingy feels awesome that way. i also moved the thumb part of the mouse as forward as i could to be able to use the buttons there more effectively. oh and im running it at a resolution of 3200dpi. the 5600dpi gets me a bit nauseious...

Nice, totally different config to mine :p

I think that is what is so cool about this mouse, so many ways to set it up.

And it is actually really easy to change things around.

I have finally found a mouse that I like more than my G5.
