Diablo III auction house will use real money

So sad! Activision has finally corrupted Blizzard...If D3 is any good, it might be their last good one before all their games start to follow the trend :(

So blizzard wants to be greedy and take a bit of our money. Imagine how much cash they will make everyday.

I see this as an improvement, Diablo 2 online item auctioning has always been there, just not officialized, now that it's here, how much more different is this from custom mods being sold on Starcraft 2 in the future?

Sounds alot like the world of warcraft mount people had to pay real money for ..
These greedy bastards are going to milk us for every penny ..
I refuse to pay real money for virtual goods , oh wait , i have software running on my pc ..
nevermind :)

This is actually good news for me..

I used to make a TON of gold in WoW which I sold to guildmates. If I can do it legally, I'll be happy.

Guess what game will also now be farmed in chinese prisons...

I laughed pretty hard at this. Thanks Pr⊕phet - you made my day brighter.

Yeah, this.
But in the same breath, I can already see some idiot, somewhere, quitting his job because he thinks he can make a living playing D3...

This is a bad move by Blizzard imo. It seems they have finally caved in to the Kotick-corruption.

I don't have much sympathy for people that can't work and play with money.
Kids don't/shouldn't have credit cards and hopefully their parents don't just buy them all they want (ie. Blizzard credits) and if that's the case they would have spent the money on things that might be much worse than virtual goods. Good/bad parenting can't be put on Blizzard.

I for one don't like to spend money on in-game things like mounts and items either but if I find the wtfawesome rare item and sell it on the AH for real money or credits I would probably use that money to buy other in-game stuff.

I would rather play a game where its legal to buy and sell these things than a game where its against the code of conduct but done anyway. I like the fact that they are placing the responsibility in our hands. If people can't handle it, its not Blizzards fault because everyone has a choice to how they want to play it and what they want to spend.

For the most part I doubt this will affect people's gameplay experiences the only area it might hurt is in PvP where you might find you get no-where because you keep getting beat by guys who've spent R500 pimping their character out.

For what?

You chose to buy the game knowing what it is, you can't sue someone because it isn't what you thought it should be.
Apparently this was worth a negative rep...

Thread: Diablo III auction...
stop trolling. NOW.

Obviously it's each person's right to give rep as they see fit but I'm fairly certain this has nothing to do with the content of the post and instead is someone following me around from an argument I had in a thread 2 weeks ago and continuing to give me negative rep. If this is the case I would say it is both childish and abusive and would please ask you to stop and get over your grudge.

I have no idea who it is as I doubt it was the person I was arguing with, of course if I am completely off base I apologize and will grin awkwardly at my embarrassment.

i heard about this, cant be safe or smart though can it?

Any less safe and/or smart than buying gold and items from questionable 3rd party goldfarmer/hacker websites?

Out of the 2 options, I think the in-house Blizzard method might just be safer and better...
