E3 2015: Doom Release Date Announced

Doom is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC Spring 2016, Bethesda announced during its E3 2015 press conference.

Last year, Bethesda announced that owners of Wolfenstein: The New Order would gain access to the Doom beta. We don't know when the beta will start but we'll let you know as soon as more information comes to hand.

Pre-ordering Wolfenstein on PS3 grants access to the PS4 Doom beta and doesn't require a PS Plus subscription to participate. Pre-ordering the Xbox 360 or Xbox One versions gets you into the Xbox One beta, although you'll need an Xbox Live Gold membership to get into the action.

You sir must have a high tolerance for horror? Doom 3 was my one and only in the Doom series. I got about 20 minutes into it before I had to uninstall. For you then I am exceptionally happy. I hope it's worth the wait

I'm not surprised, Doom 3 was a piece of shit. I'm really looking forward to this new one.

lol, no, not really. But I do like to set the mood. Dark room, headphones...omw. Ever played Quake 1 with the soundtrack on?
I'm not going to hype me too much, know the dangers of that.

Two things that I frown at.
1: That control scheme...not gonna use that, bind keys to my normal preset keys I've assigned since the original Doom.
2: The game is too bright for evil....I'm gonna set my gamma to 0.000000000000000000000000000001. You really only need to see the eyes to plant a bullet.
