Im assuming since that is probably from replay mode that it was running the highest LOD Models and post processing effects @ 30FPS which most racing games do to enhance the replay eye candy, but that is impressive indeed.

Who thought it was CG though? It didn't look like CG, it looked like reasonably impressive in game footage.

a few okes online claimed it was cgi and even hype man molyneux when questioned on the ign panel stated it might be cgi, is it just me or was the trailer giving of a PGR ish vibe

Was this one of those quad GPU titan computers, it looks awesome. If its the XBO then I'm opening up the "help me get a XBO and forza" charity :)

Yeah it did give off a PGR vibe, maybe that's what they are going for, for this next one. As for people thinking it's CGI, they must have very low expectations of CGI, I would understand it if they were referring to Project Cars...

You can't ever make like-for-like comparisons from PC to console. Developers always manage to squeeze much more out of a console than they can for a PC.

yip, consoles usually have less overheads eg, an os that uses less memory than conventional pc operating system and less background processes but this new xbox is running 3 friggin operating systems, which makes me wonder how much ram will be available for games and how much processing power also, remember the ps4 is already confirmed to be faster gpu and memory wise and im sure its OS is also using less resources

The gaming layer of the XBOX is a dedicated operating system that doesn't change for the lifetime of the console. The third OS is a weird bridging thing that I'm not sure about. The other OS is a completely separate Windows. I'm fairly positive that it won't try to run all 3 in a stack. But yeah, PS4 has quite a bit more raw power available - the gpu is close to a 7870, and it uses ddr5 ram whereas XBOX One is a 7790 with ddr3 ram.
