FPB online content distribution fee impacts game services in SA?

The FPB sucks. We should just make use of overseas ratings.

It's apparently due to them that we don't have all the XBox Live games. Basically if you want to release a game in South Africa then you have to pay the FPB to rate it. So not only does it cost money but it takes time too.

They make me so angry. They apparently doing us a service, bullshit. We should scrap the FPB, and just use the UKs rating or another countries.

Or have a default of 18 if someone doesn't want to pay for a rating.

Completely agreed. It's a completely unnecessary state organ that does far more harm than good and stands in the way of a lot of technological developments.

I'll never forget when they began wanting to rate artwork :wtf:
 
And you though online distribution was supposed to be easier. Dinosaurs trying to be relevant (read make money for nothing).
