Ok so most of you have by now played looked or even sneered at the witcher 2.
Im not here to praise or scorn the game Im here to talk about one of the greatest issues or depending on you point of view one of its coolest features.
The whole no hand holding thing. Shure theres a tut with a few text dialogs but i have never died as much in a tutorial before. because the game tells you only the basic things you need to know right click attack left click super attack e parry space dodge it doesnt tell you when to use witch it doesnt even hint at how to use.
Now some people argue that they hate this but if you think about games 10 years back almost none did any hand holding and the thing is with this style of doing things is every player gets his own play-style making it a unqie experience for everyone.
and the problem is it alienates users dying 30 times in 10 minutes into the game is hardly most peoples idea of fun most argue but the thing is the witcher 2 never was a game for most people from the start it labelled itself as a game for the hardcore pc fanatic (as sexless or perverted... as we apparently are) whatever that means.
I played contra hard corps a game from way back when right before I started playing withcer and you know what it reminded me of one thing being able to play a game and getting stuck somewhere and then getting it right is far more rewarding than just playing 8 hours of generic Russian vs american storyline.
