I'm just working on filling my Hall of Monuments. But the large majority of my gaming time goes towards Fort Aspenwood.

Two questions:

1.) Is GW still free to play? I.e. No monthly subs.

2.) Is there an end to it or is it like wow with the never ending gear / weapon /rep upgrades and grindfest?

I'm moving more and more away from gaming and only playing Eve now. I'd consider this as a alternate if it's not subscription based and actually has an end point, even if there is end game raiding, thats more just a bonus at the end then the biggest part of the game.

1) Yes, and it always will be

2) There is an end-point. Guild Wars campaigns consist of a number of missions, that when all complete draw the storyline to a close. Of course, being an MMO you don't have to stop at that point, but there's definitely a very defined "end game" of each campaign.

1) Yeah it's free and very cheap to get the collectors version with all campaigns.

2) What is said above + the entire world - apart from cities, towns and outposts - is instanced. So when you walk out of the gates into the wild it's only you and your party VS the PC - no ganking or mob ninjas.

Haha nice. I'm Luxon for the moment hey. Got Rank 7 in both the Luxon and Kurzick title tracks. Got the majority of my titles back when Fort Aspenwood gave 800 faction and Alliance Battles gave hardly anything at all either Good times.

Trey Comeau is my IGN, you? Though at the moment my PC is stuffed so I won't be on for I'm not sure how long.
