Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak

I think I'm gonna preorder tonight. The setting really appeals to me... I've been wishing they'd do a new Dune for a decade now and this kinda gives me that vibe, with the Honeworld scale and slight sense of despair.

DUDE!!!! DUUUUUUDE!!! Dune 2 was teh shiz, haven't seen anything else compare.

Well, Dune 2000 came pretty close with the C&C engine and mechanics behind it. I played skirmishes in it for hours on end. :)

I really hope this can fill this sci-fi-desert-wasteland-despair-filled-RTS hole I have in my heart currently.
 
I'm playing through the remastered Homeworld 1 before trying out this prequel. I'll probably move on to 2 after that. Just a pity about Cataclysm though.
 
I caved and preordered tonight. Ah well, paying R391 for a brand new game is pretty cheap by today's standards. Can't wait to be back in my house so I can download and play this...
 
Preordered yesterday, already had Homeworld 1 and 2, but never played them. Thought this would be a good way to do it, seeing as it is a prequel.
